To change the crew status warning notifications you need to have supervisor or owner privileges.
Imminent understaffing notifications
FireServiceRota can send warning notifications in case the minimum crew level cannot be met by the available personnel. These warnings can be configured as follows:
- Open the stations settings through the Station --> Settings menu.
- Scroll down to 'Appliance statuses'.
- Click the 'edit' button for the Appliance Status you would like to trigger the warning notifications.
- Go to the Group status notification message section and set the Warning threshold to 'Below minimum'. Next, select the recipients of these warning messages. The messages are sent to the recipients regardless of their personal availability status.
- Save the new settings.
'Stay available' notifications for minimum crew
Just before the minimum crew level is breached you may want to notify on-call personnel they are the last available crew. Any further unavailability would lead to a breach of the minimum crew level. To enable the sending of this message, configure the 'Stay available' notification to individual users section.
Members with 'owner' privileges can configure further details regarding when and how these messages are sent.
Some of the settings available include: with how many hours of anticipation would you like to be notified of crewing deficiencies as well as how many hours in advance would you like to see.
For example, you can choose to be notified 2 hours before the crewing issue happens so for a deficiency that happens at 12:00 you would be notified at 10:00 and then if you select you would like to see up to 6 hours in the future, then at 10:00 you would be notified of any deficiencies happening between 12:00 and 18:00.
You can also choose if you want to be notified whenever you are already below the minimum crewing level or on the minimum, as well as notifications for specific skills.
Additionally, if you have been notified of a deficiency, you'll not be notified again. And you can also set up Do Not Disturb periods so that people do not receive these type of messages during specific periods
IMPORTANT:
These warning messages are sent by internal system message by default, however if you decide to send them as Prio1, then these would be sent as a push notification to the app as well as an SMS with a cost of £0.09 each.
